Clearwater Living is proud to announce that Chairman and Founder Tony Ferrero has been named the 2026 SAGE Person of the Year by the SAGE 55+ Housing Council of the Building Industry Association of Southern California (BIASC).
For more than 30 years, the annual SAGE Awards have recognized professionals, projects, and programs that elevate the quality of life for adults ages 55 and older throughout the western United States. Ferrero received this prestigious honor in recognition of his leadership, innovation, and lasting impact on the senior housing and active adult living industries.

Throughout his career, Ferrero has led the acquisition, development, marketing, and operations of more than $6 billion in real estate portfolios nationwide. His work has helped shape the evolution of modern senior housing through thoughtful community planning, innovative development strategies, and a continued commitment to creating meaningful living experiences for older adults.
In addition to Ferrero’s individual recognition, two Clearwater Living communities currently in development were also honored through the 2026 SAGE Awards program, further highlighting Clearwater’s commitment to innovation, thoughtful design, and elevated senior living experiences.
Clearwater at Tustin Legacy, a planned luxury senior living community in Orange County, was recognized for its vision of resort-style living, contemporary architecture, and strong connection to the surrounding Tustin Legacy neighborhood. Clearwater at Windsor in Sonoma County was also honored for its forward-thinking mixed-use design that will offer Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Support in a vibrant and connected setting.
